NPR: ‘Miss Me Yet?’ Billboard With Photo Of Bush Is Real; Not An Internet Trick

Internet chatter had led to speculation that it might be an urban myth — nothing more than clever digital trickery spreading via the Web.

But our friend Bob Collins at Minnesota Public Radio assures us he’s seen it with his own eyes:

There is a billboard along I-35 near Wyoming, Minn., with a huge photo of former president George W. Bush and this question: “Miss Me Yet?”

Now, the push is on to find out who paid to have it put up.

Bob says there’s no readily apparent claim of ownership on the billboard, so he’s heading back to the scene to see if he can find out who’s behind the message. He’s also got some local politicos looking into it. He’ll keep us posted.

  3. JANET says:

Ditto … and, no, I’m not a dittohead … just a conservative who sees the difference!

  4. Johnny says:

The national debt nearly double while Bush was at the helm. I will never miss that fake “conservative”.

  5. Teabagger says:

    Johnny, stop eating your crayons.

  6. Ron says:

    You betcha!!

  7. Robyn O says:

Thank you President Bush for keeping us safe after 9/11, you inherited a real mess!
BTW he attempted to warn us about the housing bubble in 2001, we didn’t listen.

  8. janet davidson says:

Awesome! Yes, we miss you GWB! Conservatism is on the rise again! Great President, and all preceding you (except Carter) were/are better than the current one, who can’t even say, “Corpsman”-poor Commander in Chief. We can’t wait for the next election, We the people, can take back our leadership, and the Constitution of America, a County that need not apoligize! red,White,Blue,Proud American’s!

  9. Sterling Dobine says:

This is hysterical, no we don’t miss him, good riddens to this trash president! we’re dealing with his mistakes and incompetency, our recession is his damn fault! HE IS A FAILURE

  11. Len Coby says:

I found this website because I wanted to see more about the billboard. I am a proud disabled Vietnam Veteran and I want to say that a blog that advertises itself as your daily dose of hoping Obama fails is nauseating! A good and true American willo never want to see his or her president fail. That is saying you hope your country fails. I may or may not agree with this president and everything he is trying to do…BUT I will never hope he fails. I never hoped George Bush failed, I never hoped Carter failed, I never hoped Reagan failed, I never hoped LBJ or JFK failed, and I will never hope the next president fails whomever he or she is and whether he or she is a Republican, Democrat, Conservative or Liberal. Shame on all of you. I do however hope that this blog fails.

  12. Creamcheese says:

Recession…His fault? Really now, and who was in control of the house and senate for the last two years of his presidency. The Dems you yo-yo. And who was a part of the power that started the recession? Our current president who voted for the power grab…Barack Hussen Obama M…M…M…. An who was in charge of Freddie
Mac and Fannie Mae? Chris Dodd and Barney
Frank…party affliation… Democrate. So don’t lay the blame game on President Bush. Thank him for keep us safe after 9-11. Because I sure don’t feel safe now. Yes, I miss him.

  13. Diane says:

The not so silent any more majority has spoken. I am not an accountant but I can tell you the policies that are happening right now will destroy this country. Yes sir I miss common sense and justice. I miss Washington being a center for business and power thinking, not a party everynight or a trip to impress the rest of the world.

  14. Dan says:

You bet I miss him, it’s clear now that the parents have left the party and the kids are running things now. The last year has been a complete joke. You all better wake up and realize the if Obama’s policies go through we are all screwed. If your job realise on people spending money on things other then necessities you will see a major drop in business as soon as all of our taxes go up. If you think rolling back to Clinton’s tax percentage isn’t going to affect anyone you are forgetting what the gas prices were then and oh yeah we didn’t have Big Gov. fining our businesses up the ass for Gores made up global warming crisis.

  15. John says:

Now it’s Jimmy Carter in Texas:

Miss Me Yet? with a picture of Jimmy Carter!

  16. Anonymous says:

what is wrong with these morons? Saying “miss me yet” now is like a captain running a ship aground and absconding with the lifeboat, only to blame the remaining sailors for struggling in the rising bilgewater!
