It’s not a racist statement. He said it in response to someone else saying that they would bring the collared greens.
I would register republican if they provided all that and some pie and ice cream for dessert(I don’t like watermelon, dont ask me why).
Seems to me that this is just humor that would be considered hilarious coming from any OTHER source. As chair of the RNC, Mr. Steele should have better manners.
