LOL: Late-term abortion doctor George Tiller killed in Kansas Church

WICHITA, Kansas — Dr. George Tiller, a Kansas doctor whose clinic received national attention for performing late-term abortions, was shot to death as he entered his Wichita church on Sunday.

“Members of the congregation who were inside the sanctuary at the time of the shooting were being kept inside the church by police,” the Wichita Eagle reported, “and those arriving were being ushered into the parking lot.”

Media reports said the suspected killer fled the scene in a white or blue Taurus. Police described him as a white male in his 50s or 60s.

Tiller has been among the few U.S. physicians performing late-term abortion, making him a favored target of anti-abortion protesters. He testified that he and his family have suffered years of harassment and threats. His clinic was the site of the 1991 “Summer of Mercy” protests marked by mass demonstrations and arrests. His clinic was bombed in 1985, and an abortion opponent shot him in both arms in 1993.

Tiller was acquitted in March of misdemeanor charges stemming from procedures he performed, but moments after the verdict the state’s medical board announced it was investigating allegations against him that are nearly identical to those the jury had rejected.

Prosecutors had alleged that Tiller had in 2003 gotten second opinions from a doctor who was essentially an employee of his, not independent as state law requires, but a jury took only about an hour to find him not guilty of all 19 counts.

Tiller, who could have faced a year in jail for even one conviction, stared straight ahead as the verdicts were read, with one of his attorneys patting his shoulder after the decision on the final count was declared. His wife, seated across the courtroom, fought back tears and nodded. The couple declined to speak to reporters afterward.

Tiller, 67, has claimed that the prosecution was politically motivated. An attorney general who opposed abortion rights began the investigation into Tiller’s clinic more than four years ago, but both his successor, who filed the criminal charges, and the current attorney general support abortion rights.

But if you really think about it– was it murder? Or just a really, really late-term abortion?

    Who mourns for the lives he ended?

    Where was Obama’s concern?

    Where were the U.S. Marshalls to protect the lives of the innocent?

    While I do not take pleasure in Tiller’s death, or the death of any human being, I cannot help but wonder why society should care more about his death than those he killed.

    why so callous about another person’s death? why should he deserve to die only because he chose to believe in something different? Maybe the mother of the aborted fetus decided not to have the children, dont you think she should have some say in whether or not to have a human being brought into this world and properly raise it? Sometime, babies are not meant to be born, like Hitler? Maybe abortion could have saved the world!

    I am very saddened to hear people taking pleasure in the fact that a man who was someone’s husband, someone’s dad, someone’s grandfather was so abruptly taken from them. I am also saddened that people like this man make is possible to also, so abruptly, and flippantly take lives before they’ve even had a chance to live them. I serve a God who makes no mistakes, and every life that has ever been created has purpose. There is no hero in this situation, only victims.

    Any person who decides that he’s doing the “right thing” by sticking a pair of scissors into a squirming baby’s head deserves far, FAR, fucking worse than what that baby-killing faggot received.

    Oh, and by the way, I am GLAD that he was shot in his church. Know why? Because despite all he did, they still allowed him in their midst. I’m surprised the dude didn’t just open fire on the entire congregation for even allowing George Tiller to step foot on “God’s” property.

    Plus, it’s funny his wife was in the choir and hopefully witnessed her husbands righteous execution.

    Pro-life doesn’t always mean anti-justice.

    So there.

    (I’m sure I’ll be under heavy government surveillance from here on out, since I’m pro-gun, pro-life, anti-tax, and a veteran of OIF)
