In Florida, McCain is now threatening to pull away:
Quinnipiac University’s McCain Obama FL Poll, conducted from September 5 to September 9, showed McCain leading Obama by 7 % points — 50 % to 43 % among the registered voters of Florida.
InAdv/PollPosition’s Obama McCain FL Poll, conducted on September 10, showed McCain leading Obama by 8 % points — 50 % to 42 % among the registered voters of Florida.
Zogby Interactive’s McCain Obama FL Poll, conducted from September 9 to September 12, showed McCain leading Obama by 10.3 % points — 52.1 % to 41.8 % among the registered voters of Florida.
Wow. A month ago, all that talk about “expanding the electoral map” and “competing in all 50 states” sounded kinda cool. Now it just seems stupid.
Instead of shoring up purple states like Pennsylvania (tied) , Michigan (Obama +2), Wisconsin (Obama +2), and Minnesota (tied), and focusing like a laser on traditional battlegrounds like Ohio and Florida (McCain now leads in both), the Obama campaign has been squandering their much heralded financial advantage in Montana, North Dakota, North Carolina, and Georgia, where they still, millions of dollars later, trail by double-digits.
